NL 2022: Gros Morne (National Park Of Canada)

At the half way mark of our NL adventure, we are spending a couple of days at a lovely cabin near Rocky Harbour in Gros Morne National Park. We've taken a break from resto meals, and busted out our BBQ wizardry. More importantly, we're visiting some truly unique Canadian landscapes in this remarkable region.

We began by taking a fabulous two hour boat tour at Western Brook Pond, a famous 16 km inland fjord. The next day, we walked around Woody Point and explored The Tablelands. This is Newfoundland?

Right around the bend it was especially breathtaking

The next day, we went to Mars, or so it seemed

Helen stands in front of the Woody Point Heritage Theatre where the annual Writers at Woody Point takes places every August. (The photographer is crooked, not the theatre.)

I discovered much to my delight that the main floor of the theatre is named after my dear friend Shelagh Rogers, who has been associated with the Writers at Woody Point festival since its inception.
